Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of music on the training processes of national athletes. A total of 544 national athletes from various sports disciplines voluntarily participated in this study. Data were collected using the “Impact of Music on the Sportive Activities Scale” (IMSAS), which evaluates three sub-dimensions: motivation, psychological resilience, and physical strength/performance. Statistical analyses were conducted via SPSS 25.0, including independent sample t-tests and one-way ANOVA. The results revealed that music positively influences athletes’ motivation, enhances physical performance, and strengthens psychological resilience during training. Notably, female athletes, younger age groups (18–22), those with 1–3 years of sports experience, athletes with higher education and socioeconomic status, and those engaged in team sports benefited more from music-supported training sessions. The findings highlight the importance of personalized music integration into training programs, emphasizing that the impact of music varies according to individual differences. This study contributes to the growing literature in sports psychology and exercise science by emphasizing music as a valuable tool to optimize athletic performance and mental preparedness.
