ABSTRACT The aim of our study is to examine exercise addiction, awareness of exercise addiction and narcissism in university students at various physical activity levels. Related variables were measured with the Exercise Addiction Scale, Exercise Addiction Awareness Scale and Narcissistic Personality Inventory. While there was no significant relationship between the evaluation parameters in university students who do not exercise regularly, there was no significant relationship between awareness of exercise addiction and narcissism in students who have been doing sports for 0-2 years, and between the leadership dimension of narcissism and awareness of exercise addiction in students who have been doing sports for 3-5 years. It was observed that there were significant relationships between the awareness dimension, and between exercise addiction and awareness of exercise addiction in university students who have been doing sports for more than 5 years. Conducting multifactorial evaluations that may lead to the emergence of exercise addiction in university students and planning awareness training for exercise addiction with the results obtained from these evaluations can help establish balance in the social lives of these students |
